Services
for Needing Children throughout North Carolina -

are provided to children and
families in which the North Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS) has
determined an out-of-home placement of the child is needed. This is
because some form of child neglect, abuse, or abandonment has occurred.

Assessment of the child's placement situations

Home visitation counseling and support

Help with obtaining needed
resources

Reunification visits and permanency planning meetings

Interventions to ensure that children who enter foster
care have safe, stable, and
permanent long-term caregivers (including
biological parents whenever possible
and adoptive parents when needed)

Recruitment, training, and assessment of foster and
adoptive parents
Staff
Our
staff, acting in the role of social worker, carries a caseload of
families who have one or more children in the legal custody of the State,
relatives, or under jurisdiction of the court. Through successful placement,
stabilization, and utilization of our services for
these children and their families, our staff strive to achieve stable and safe futures for the children
in the care of Seven Homes Agency. Our staff are
able to respond quickly to an emergency situation at any time.
Process of Referral
All
children and families served are referred by the North Carolina Department of
Social Services through the local County Departments of Social Services. Seven
Homes' foster and adoptive parents who are recruited and trained come from all
walks of life and geographic areas throughout the Triad region.
Program Partners
The various North Carolina county
family courts and their DSS
organizations. whom our children's cases are managed, provides
Seven Homes Foster Care & Adoption Agency with both a close
regulatory oversight, monitoring, and professional contractual partnership.
This close partnership works together to assure each
child's needs are fully meet. For more information about this process

Our Board of
Directors
Seven Homes Foster Care & Adoption Agency is governed by a
nonprofit board of directors, with representation from different types and sizes
of nonprofits, the private sector, and individuals. Board members live and work
in all parts of the Triad area of North Carolina and meet monthly by conference
call and quarterly in person.
